Zeal Engineering Consultants (Pty) Ltd was appointed to render Professional Services for the Electrical Installations, Upgrading of Muledane Substation and New Overhead 22kV MV Feeder Line from Muledane Substation to Thavhani Mall.

Muledane 132/22kV and 22/66kV substation is fed from Venulu substation.

The substation has 3x20MVA 132/22kV feeding six feeders namely Thohoyandou 1, Thohoyandou 2, Shayandima, Tshakhuma, Makhado and Sibasa.

Muledane substation is peaking at about 46MVA and it has lost firm. But there is going to be a slight drop of the load when Nesengani substation is commissioned and a further decrease of the load when Thulamela substation comes in.
