Qumbu Substation - HV Line

Zeal Engineering Consultants (Pty) Ltd was appointed to provide Engineering Consulting Service for Qumbu Substation - 132kV Feeder Bay Primary Works to determine preparedness of Eskom Eastern Cape Operating Unit and assist in execution of the 2016/17 electrification programme as well as prepare for the 2017/2018 program.

The purpose was to provide Eskom’s Top Management with an independent view of the Electrification programme status based on the design and site reviews outcomes; to enable Eskom to deliver on its shareholder compact; timeous and cost-effective infrastructure and connections; identify possible risks for nondelivery and programme improvement initiatives to be explored.
