Amacwera Substation

Zeal Engineering Consultants (Pty) Ltd was appointed for Engineering Design and Project Management services for the construction of a new 132/22kV 2 x 20VA Amacwera Substation. This is a new substation which is in the Mount Frere area which is approximately about 332km form East London. Amacwera substation G.P.S. is Long 31° 07' 27.8" Lat 29° 08' 9.1”. The project will include the following: 

 

• Create a 132kV feeder bay for Amacwera-Qumbu 132kV line

• Create space for future Amacwera-Mfinizo 132kV feeder bay

• Install 132/22kV 1 x 20 MVA transformer

• Construct a control building and install secondary plant equipment

• Install the necessary control technology

• Install 6 x 22kV fully equipped feeder bays

• Create space for two future 22kV feeder bays

• Civil works (fence, stone, signs, lighting, etc.)

• Construct gravel access road
